RIMPAC: Philippine bags 3rd spot

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Navy has won third place in one of the major Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) events in Hawaii.
Utilizing BRP Miguel Malvar, the Philippines “exceptionally performed” in the naval surface fire support multinational live-fire event, Navy spokesperson Capt. Marissa Martinez said.
At the world’s largest international maritime exercise, the Philippines demonstrated its capability to operate in “maritime warfare scenarios alongside allied and partner navies,” Martinez said.
Around 30 countries, 30 ships and five submarines participated in RIMPAC.
