MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has collected P86.073 billion in revenue, surpassing its June target of P83.220 billion.

With a surplus of P2.853 billion, last month’s collection surpassed the P77.035 billion generated in June last year, the BOC said.

Total revenue surplus as of June had reached P11.478 billion, with cumulative collections at P491.748 billion, exceeding the January-to-June target of P480.270 billion by 2.4 percent.

In the same period last year, collections reached P458.771 billion, for an increase of P32.977 billion or 7.2 percent this year.

For 2026, the BOC had been assigned a P1-trillion revenue target.

“This milestone proves that when integrity guides our work and everyone moves toward one goal, we can effectively deliver significant results that benefit our country and our fellow Filipinos,” Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said. — Aubrey Rose Inosante
