Umararo sa 14 sasakyan

MANILA, Philippines — Nagpositibo sa iligal na droga ang UV Express driver na umararo 14 na motorista sa kahabaan ng Commonwealth Avenue sa harap ng  Commission on Human Rights, Brgy. UP Campus, Quezon City, nitong Biyernes.

Ayon kay Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director PCol. Randy Glenn Silvio, lumalabas sa kanilang laboratory ­examination na positibo si alyas “Ruel” sa paggamit ng methamphetamine hydrochloride o “shabu”.

Sinampahan na si Ruel ng patong-patong na reklamo kabilang ang kasong murder, frustrated murder, malicious mischief, abandonment of one’s victim, at resistance to a person in authority.

Maliban dito ay sasampahan din ng ­reklamong paglabag sa Republic Act no. 10586 o Anti-Drunk and Drugged driving Act of 2013 ang suspek bunsod ng naging resulta ng kaniyang mga lab exams.

“This case serves as a clear warning to those who drive under the influence of illegal drugs, you will be held fully accountable under the law. At mabigat po ang parusa dito ayon sa batas, reclusion temporal o mahigit 12 years to 20 years maximum na pagkakakulong at may multang 300,000 to 500,000 Pesos pag namatay ang biktima”, ani Silvio.

Sa ngayon, nagpapatuloy pa rin ang imbestigasyon ng pulisya sa insidente na siya namang ikinasawi ng isang motorista at pagkasugat ang 14 na iba pa.
