MANILA, Philippines — Magdaragdag ang West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. ng 211 million liters (ML) ng kanilang water-storage capacity sa 2026 kaakibat ang pagtatayo ng apat na bagong reservoirs sa ibat-ibang concession areas para mapalakas ang pressure at suplay ng tubig para sa mga customers na nasa elevated areas.

Dahil sa itataas na sto­rage capacity, ang Maynilad ay may dagdag na 211 ML ng potable water supply na accessible sa distribution system level na handang isuplay sa panahon ng peak demand.

“Households in ele­vated areas are typically affected by low water pressure whenever the demand goes up.

Having more reservoirs will help to maintain supply availability despite strong water withdrawals from households in low-lying areas, so were building more of these storage facilities in strategic locations,” pahayag ni Maynilad Chief Operating Officer Randolph T. Estrellado.

Ang apat na bagong reservoirs ay itatayo sa QC, Valenzuela at Muntinlupa na pinondohan ng P2.8 billion, na bahagi ng P220 billion service enhancement program para sa taong 2023 hanggang 2027.
