LIST: Areas affected by Meralco rotational brownout on April 23
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) released a list of areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces that would be affected by a rotational brownout Tuesday.
The rotational brownout is due to the company's manual load dropping or the "process of cutting off power in areas served at a specific time due to power supply shortage."
The following areas will experience rotational brownout between 1 to 2 p.m.:

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines earlier raised the red and yellow alerts over the Luzon grid following a magnitude 6.1 earthquake that struck Luzon Monday afternoon.
Several power plants were affected by the earthquake — GN Power Unit 1 and 2 in Bataan and SCPC Units 1 to 4 in Batangas, the Department of Energy said in an advisory. — Patricia Lourdes Viray
