MANILA, Philippines – Commuters of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) were stranded anew after one of its trains stalled due to a technical glitch yesterday afternoon.
Passengers were forced to walk along the tracks after a train stopped before it reached the Ortigas station at 12:55 p.m.
The management of the MRT said the glitch was caused by a “start-up interlocking” along the rails.
The problem prompted the MRT to limit its operations only from the Taft Avenue station in Pasay City to Shaw Boulevard station in Mandaluyong.
The MRT resumed normal operations at 1:18 p.m.
