LTFRB exec bullied on Facebook

MANILA, Philippines – An official of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is planning to file charges against a Facebook user for allegedly bullying him on social media.

LTFRB board member Ariel Inton said he has tapped his lawyer to unmask the person behind the Facebook account “Independencia Ph.”

“Malicious, false and humiliating statements were posted against me on Facebook,” Inton said.

“As a government official, I know I can be scrutinized by the public, but this one has gone too far. Clearly, there is someone behind these bad publicities,” he added.

Inton challenged the people behind the fraud Facebook account to face him.

An anonymous Facebook user created the Independencia Ph page, which criticized Inton for his supposed statements supporting the administration of incoming president Rodrigo Duterte.

“Mukhang nagpapalakas kay President Duterte si LTFRB member Ariel Inton. Takot ka na bang mawalan ng trabaho? #changeiscoming #kapitTuko,” Independencia Ph’s post read.
