Indigent Australian dies in Caloocan
MANILA, Philippines - A 71-year-old Australian man, who came to the Philippines as a tourist several years ago, died penniless in a friend’s house in Caloocan Wednesday afternoon.
Collin Hall died at around 1 p.m. in the house of Lorna Miani, 55, in Barangay 123, police said.
Miani told police Hall woke up at around 6 a.m. and relieved himself then went back to bed. He never woke up.
Hall was jobless and survived on dole-outs from Filipino friends, police said, adding that the Australian embassy has been informed.
