Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) will honor a taxi driver for returning P50,000 in cash and other valuables left in his cab by an Uzbekistani bank official recently.

Miguel Ardiente Jr. of Royal HM taxi services turned over to authorities the black bag left by Ikram Ibraginov, board chairman of Hamkor Bank in Uzbekistan, whom he picked up at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 last month.

MIAA general manager Jose Angel Honrado lauded Ardiente for his honesty.

Honrado said Ibraginov’s money, iPad and Samsung mobile phone were sent to Uzbekistan by courier on Thursday.
