MMDA: Expect heavy traffic on EDSA, C-5 Road

Mike Frialde - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic on portions of EDSA and C-5 Road today as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is conducting road repairs until 5 a.m. tomorrow, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said yesterday.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the DPWH started repairs at 10 p.m. Friday on the innermost southbound lane of EDSA between Mother Ignacia and Eugenio Lopez streets.

The DPWH also started repairing segments of C-5 Road from the Shell gasoline station to the SM Warehouse Gate 2 (outermost lane) and on EDSA in front of the DPWH Quezon City Second Engineering District office in Kamuning (second lane from the sidewalk).

The MMDA said all roads affected by the repairs will be fully passable by 5 a.m. tomorrow.
