MANILA, Philippines - A Chinese man, suspected to be a big-time drug pusher, was arrested in a sting in Barangay Bel-Air, Makati City Sunday night with five kilos of shabu, which has a street value of at least P15 million.
Xiao Min Chua, alias Henry Ong, 45, was apprehended by police officers from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group and the Makati police as well as members of the city’s anti-drug council.
NCRPO chief Director Joel Pagdilao said an informant arranged for an undercover police officer to buy a kilo of shabu from Chua for P1.2 million.
Chua was collared after receiving marked money and handing over the shabu at the parking lot of a convenience store at the corner of N. Garcia and Jupiter streets at past 9 p.m.
Pagdilao said police officers also seized Chua’s white Toyota Innova (TQJ-783).
Chua will be charged with illegal drug possession and drug pushing before the city prosecutor’s office.
