Man nabbed for raping teen

MANILA, Philippines - A 27-year-old man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after his 13-year-old neighbor accused him of raping her several times in Manila.

Police officers of the Manila Police District’s women’s and children’s unit apprehended Albert Morillo after the girl told her mother that the suspect had been raping her since November.

The girl said Morillo raped her on Nov. 23 and on Dec. 8 and 15. She said the suspect would often ask to use their bathroom or borrow utensils when she is alone in the house.

She said the first rape happened after Morillo came to their house and borrowed a charger.

The girl said Morillo would always threaten to kill her if she told anyone about the rapes.
