Pasig road rage suspect identified; manhunt on

MANILA, Philippines - Police identified yesterday the suspect in the road rage killing of a deliveryman in Pasig City on Dec. 10.

In a press conference, Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Superintendent Elmer Jamias said Tameme Mohammad allegedly gunned down Richard Tuazon during an altercation with his brother, Nor Faisal Mohammad. 

Jamias said a witness, Anisah Hajie Naem, saw her husband, Nor Faisal, who was driving a black Toyota Innova (APA 9824), punching Tuazon during their quarrel before Tameme shot him.

Jamias said they are set to file murder charges against the Mohammad brothers, who remain at large, before the Pasig City prosecutor’s office.

The Innova – registered under the name of Ali Amer, the brothers’ uncle – was traced to a parking lot in Gold Land Subdivision in Cainta, Rizal, where Nor Faisal kept it.

Jamias said Naem is not under police custody. She is helping negotiate the surrender of her husband and brother-in-law.

He said several tracker teams are now hunting down the Mohammad brothers.

Naem alleged that Tuazon kept on cursing her husband when the Innova managed to overtake the victim’s Mitsubishi L300 van at the Rosario Junction.

Tuazon reportedly followed them to the Rosario Bridge, where the shooting happened.

Grace Tuazon, the victim’s widow, said a curse word should not be enough to kill an innocent man.

Tuazon, 36, a teacher at an elementary school in Barangay Rosario, said she does not know how to support their three children and her father-in-law, who is suffering from an ailment.
