MANILA, Philippines – Police investigators are eyeing a botched drug deal as a possible motive for the killing of a 21-year-old man in Malabon City over the weekend.

Christopher Villamor, of Pitong Gatang street, Navotas City, was eating at a canteen along Estrella street in Barangay Tanong at past noon Saturday when two armed men arrived and shot him at close range, Malabon police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. said.

Villamor died at the scene from two gunshot wounds to the head.

His assailants escaped on foot after the attack.

Probers recovered two spent shells for a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
