MANILA, Philippines – A criminology student was wounded after he was allegedly shot by a drunk member of the Presidential Security Group in Sampaloc, Manila Saturday night.
Sajid Sadilawan, 28, of Legarda street, was rushed to the Ospital ng Sampaloc for treatment of a gunshot wound in his abdomen. The assailant, Michael Zinggapan, escaped on a motorcycle after the attack.
Sadilawan told police probers that he was chatting with his friend at the corner of M. Jhocson and Lardizabal streets at past 11 p.m. when Zinggapan arrived and confronted him, Senior Police Officer 2 Oliver Balingit said.
Without any provocation, Zinggapan drew his gun and shot the victim at close range.
