4 Pinays nabbed for $3-M cocaine in Hong Kong

MANILA, Philippines - Four Filipinas were arrested in Hong Kong in September for carrying more than two kilos of cocaine, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed yesterday.

Hong Kong authorities seized the cocaine, with a street value of $3 million, from the Filipinas on separate occasions. Two were caught as they arrived in Hong Kong while the other two were apprehended as they were about to leave the former British colony.

DFA spokesman Charles Jose said the consulate general has visited the detained Filipinas.
