Tricycle driver nabbed for raping girl

MANILA, Philippines - A 65-year-old tricycle driver was arrested for raping a girl under a bridge in Malabon City yesterday morning.

Ricardo Mariano reportedly befriended the 12-year-old girl and convinced her to go with him under the Lambingan Bridge.

He was arrested at his home in Barangay Ibaba after the girl told her mother that Mariano raped her.

Police charged Mariano with rape in relation to child abuse.
