Erap to Isko: Remember where you came from
MANILA, Philippines - Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, who is running for senator, should remember his origins, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada said yesterday.
Estrada said he advised Moreno to continue serving poor Filipinos.
“Vice Mayor Isko came from the dump. I advised him to always think of where he came from,” he said.
Moreno was a scavenger before he became an actor.
Estrada said he is endorsing Moreno for senator in the 2016 elections because he knows that “he can (do) the greatest good for the greatest number… the poor Filipino masses.”
He said Moreno’s decision to join the ticket of Senators Grace Poe and Francis Escudero, who are running for president and vice president, respectively.
Estrada said he will campaign for Moreno even in the provinces, “but never on the same stage with Escudero. I don’t want him because he doesn’t want me.”
He added that Escudero campaigned for President Aquino in 2010, when he himself ran for president.
