5 Chinese nabbed in P50-M shabu sting

MANILA, Philippines - Five Chinese men were arrested during a drug bust in Quezon City yesterday.

Police officers seized 10 kilos of shabu with a street value of P50 million from Zheng Yong, 30; Xiong Bun Sy, 33; Alexander Go Jua, 57; Chung Cheng Xu, 41, and Guo Weng, 46, after cornering the suspects along Congressional Avenue near EDSA at past 6 a.m.

The National Capital Region Police Office anti-drug unit also seized a silver Toyota Altis (ZRW-851) and a white Honda Accent (ABG-6547) the suspects used. 

The suspects were identified as distributors by Noel Mendiola; his son, Nhelmar; and Glen Ramos, who were arrested in Pasig City Friday with two kilos of shabu valued at P10 million, NCRPO director Chief Superintendent Joel Pagdilao said.
