MANILA, Philippines - Starting tomorrow, parts of Quezon Avenue and Elliptical Road around the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City will be closed for three weeks to pave the way for a drainage improvement project and repositioning of telephone cables in the area.
Dexter Cardenas, chief of the city’s public order and safety traffic division, yesterday urged motorists to look for alternative routes.
Cardenas said work on the drainage project would start tomorrow until Nov. 5.
He said the drainage improvement aims to resolve flooding at the Quezon Memorial Circle, Kalayaan Road and East Avenue.
He added the PLDT has coordinated with city government, Department of Public Works and Highways and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority for the repositioning of its underground cables, which will be affected by the drainage repair.
