2 killed, 2 hurt in Malabon shooting
MANILA, Philippines - Police investigators are clueless on the killing of a security officer and a woman and the wounding of two others, including a seven-year-old girl, in Malabon City on Friday night.
Joel Baysa has just arrived on a motorcycle along C-4 Road, Barangay Tanong when the assailants fired at him, Chief Inspector Rey Medina, head of the Malabon police investigation unit, said.
Three others -- Marissa Brondo, 44, Clarito Tenolete, 39, and a seven-year old girl – were wounded in the shooting incident.
Brondo died on the way to the hospital. Tenolete and the girl were taken to the Tondo General Hospital for treatment.
Police recovered a packet of shabu near Baysa’s body.
Medina said they were checking if Baysa was carrying the illegal drugs when he was gunned down or the suspects planted it to mislead police probers.
