Grocery owner claims P91.4-M lotto jackpot

MANILA, Philippines - A 54-year-old grocery owner from Manila has claimed the jackpot in the 6/49 Super Lotto’s Aug. 30 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, PCSO general manager, said the winner guessed the six-digit winning combination 07-10-14-31-40-45, which has the jackpot of P91,492,428.

“The winner has been a lotto fan since 1996. The winning combination was given by his sister-in-law,” Rojas said.

The grocery owner’s wife and three children accompanied him when he claimed his prize at the PCSO central office in Mandaluyong on Monday.

“He plans to buy a house and lot, expand his grocery and save for the future of his children,” Rojas said.

The 6/49 Super Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
