299 pass veterinarians’ exam

MANILA, Philippines – The country now has 299 newly licensed veterinarians, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Saturday.

With a score of 87.66 percent, Alvin John Oliveros, a graduate of the Central Luzon State University (CLSU), led those who passed the Veterinarian Licensure Examination.

The PRC said only 299 out of 719 examinees passed the examination held in the cities of Manila and Cagayan de Oro.

Krystal Gayle Basilla of SouthWestern University placed second with a grade of 86.04 percent followed in the third spot by CLSU graduate Joram Gautane, who obtained a grade of 85.40 percent.

Another CLSU graduate, Marvin Bryan Salinas, captured fourth place with a score of 85.20 percent. University of the Philippines (UP) graduate Gladys Maria Pangga placed fifth with a grade of 85 percent.

Another UP graduate, Vincent Edward Reyes, ranked sixth with a score of 84.50 percent followed in seventh place by De La Salle University graduate Nash Ranier Matias, who obtained a grade of 84.20 percent.

In eighth place was CLSU graduate Allan Jeffrey Francia, who scored 84.02 percent and fellow CLSU graduate Aldrei Siblag placed ninth with a score of 84 percent.

Mark Kevin Badiola of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture placed 10th with a grade of 83.76 percent.
