MANILA, Philippines - The Parañaque City government cleared Barangay Baclaran of illegal vendors and illegal jeepney terminals, which have been causing traffic gridlocks along Roxas Boulevard, particularly during the rush hour.
City administrator Ding Soriano told The STAR that Mayor Edwin Olivarez directed the city’s traffic officials and Barangay Baclaran officials to clear the streets, particular those near the Redemptorist Church.
He said traffic officials earlier conducted clearing operations but the vendors returned after authorities left.
“We will be conducting regular clearing operations,” Soriano said.
