7 questioned for break-in at Lacson son’s home
MANILA, Philippines - Police have invited for questioning seven workers from Las Piñas City in connection with a burglary at the house of a son of former senator Panfilo Lacson at BF Homes Subdivision in Parañaque City over the weekend.
Senior Superintendent Ariel Andrade, Parañaque police chief, said the suspects – including a house painter hired by Ronald Jay Lacson, 41, for a job at his house – reportedly stole a laptop computer, a mobile phone and other electronic gadgets at around 4 a.m. Saturday.
Initial police investigation showed that Lacson woke up to go to the toilet when he noticed a man going out through their gate.
Alarmed, he turned on the lights and was shocked to see the living room had been ransacked.
Lacson said he recognized the suspect as one of the workers he hired when he had his house renovated last month.
Andrade said investigators lifted fingerprints from the crime scene.
Police said the workers cooperated during the interrogation and had their fingerprints taken.
