Call center agent loses P.6 M to burglar

MANILA, Philippines - A call center agent lost more than P600,000 worth of gadgets and jewelry when an unidentified burglar broke into her house in Novaliches, Quezon City, police said yesterday.

Janette Rivera, 49, told case investigator Police Officer 3 Valentine Depalog that the break-in happened on Sunday afternoon after she left home along with her children.

Depalog said Rivera lost a diamond stone worth P300,000; a set of gold jewelry worth P150,000; another set of silver jewelry worth P150,000; an iPad tablet worth P35,000; iPad mini worth P20,000 and a power bank.

The victim discovered that her valuables were missing when she arrived home on Monday morning.
