60 police desks in Metro Manila set up for APEC

MANILA, Philippines - Around 60 police assistance desks were established in Metro Manila to secure delegates to the Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) forum at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, officials said yesterday.

Representatives from 22 APEC member countries will hold a dialogue on science and technology at the PICC tomorrow and Friday.

The police desks are manned by two or three uniformed personnel, said National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Superintendent Joel Pagdilao.
