Hotel manager, pimp arrested in Manila
MANILA, Philippines - A hotel manager and an alleged pimp have been arrested for allegedly prostituting girls at a hotel in Manila, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said Friday.
Monette Patricio and Glenn Christian were apprehended in a sting at Hotel Paradis on March 17.
Four girls, aged 13 to 16, and five women were rescued from the hotel. Investigators said each girl received P1,000 of the P1,500 paid by a client. The rest of the money reportedly goes to Patricio.
“Patricio has been recruiting minors, and her male clients would always take these girls to Hotel Paradis. That’s why we also arrested Glenn,” an NBI agent who requested anonymity told The STAR.
The two were charged with human trafficking and are currently detained at NBI jail.
