Vandolph in another car mishap; 1 hurt
MANILA, Philippines - A man was hurt after actor Vandolph Quizon lost control of his sport utility vehicle (SUV) and caused an accident involving two other vehicles along Ninoy Aquino Avenue in Parañaque City yesterday morning.
Quizon was driving his Toyota Fortuner along the avenue’s northbound lane when the SUV’s rear wheel exploded. Investigators said the blowout caused the vehicle to swerve toward the opposite lane and hit a concrete boundary marker.
Leonardo Tapino, who was driving a Toyota Hi-Lux truck on the opposite lane, saw Quizon’s oncoming SUV and tried to avoid it. The truck hit a Yamaha Sniper motorcycle driven by Michael Periera, who suffered minor injuries.
Police officers said Quizon emerged from the SUV unharmed.
In 2001, Quizon’s girlfriend was killed when he crashed his car into a truck in Pangasinan.
