Jolo discharged from hospital

MANILA, Philippines - Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla has been discharged from the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa more than a week after he reportedly accidentally shot himself.

“He will be recuperating under the care of his mother,  Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado, in their Ayala Alabang residence,” lawyer Raymond Fortun, spokesman for the Revilla family, said yesterday.

Fortun said the family has decided to have Jolo discharged from the hospital Sunday night, with the consent of doctors, to speed up his recovery.

Fortun said Jolo had asked for a 30-day leave from the provincial government of Cavite since his recovery would take about three to four weeks.
