Iranian held for ‘terrorizing’ guard
MANILA, Philippines - An Iranian mixed martial arts fighter was arrested for allegedly terrorizing a security guard inside a store at the Tutuban mall in Divisoria, Manila Saturday night.
Seyed Razi Madjd Jabbari, 30, was nabbed based on the complaint of Glenn Barbasa, 37.
Barbasa told police that he was watching Jabbari while he was showing off his skills at past 8 p.m. when the suspect stared at him and asked if he wanted a fight.
When the guard said he would not fight him, the Iranian used pepper spray on his face before running away.
Jabbari was arrested yesterday when he returned to the mall to challenge Barbasa to a fight.
Senior Police Officer 3 Jonathan Cayetano said Jabbari, who resides at a condominium in Malate, Manila, may face deportation after he failed to show any document to justify his stay in the country.
