P.3 M lost in Quezon City fire

MANILA, Philippines - At least P300,000 worth of property was destroyed when a fire hit a residential building in Barangay San Roque, Quezon City yesterday afternoon.

City fire marshal Jesus Fernandez said the blaze broke out at the house rented by Manuel Alinea and spread to other houses in the area.

Fernandez said the fire left 10 families homeless. The fire reached second alarm before it was declared under control at 3:30 p.m. Arson probers have yet to establish the cause of the fire.
