Korean restaurant owner shot dead

MANILA, Philippines - A Korean woman was killed by a robber in her restaurant in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City yesterday afternoon.

Mi Kyung Park, 40, was shot by an unidentified man who tried to stage a robbery in the Bean Leaf restaurant along Don Antonio Drive at around 1:35 p.m., according to Superintendent Segundo Lagundi, Quezon City Police District Station 6 commander.

Witnesses described the robber as 5’7” tall and clad in a black shirt, denim pants and a baseball cap. He also wore reading glasses.

Lagundi denied reports that the robber asked Park to go to the bathroom and take her clothes off. He said a manhunt has been launched for the robber.
