MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) opened another bicycle lane along Roxas Boulevard in Manila yesterday.

The lane is along the service road, from Rajah Sulayman Park to Burgos Avenue. With the opening of the new bicycle lane, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the agency also started its “Bayanihan sa Daan” road-sharing campaign to promote road courtesy among pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

The MMDA’s bicycle lanes are along Roxas Boulevard, from Quirino Avenue up to the Cultural Center of the Philippines; Commonwealth Avenue, from the University of the Philippines entrance to Tandang Sora; from the Santolan Light Rail Transit Line 2 station to Imelda Avenue and Marcos Highway in Marikina; and from the Remedios Circle up to the Paraiso ng Batang Maynila Park on M. Adriatico street in Manila.
