MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) assured the public yesterday there will be a reduction in minimum fares for public utility jeepneys and taxis in Metro Manila in the next few weeks.

LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez said the agency is waiting for the National Economic and Development Authority to submit its socio-economic study today before the LTFRB can impose the fare cut.
