7 arrested in drug raid

MANILA, Philippines - Seven alleged drug pushers were arrested during a raid on a slum area in Quezon City yesterday.

Allan Miller; Dick Cheney Salunay, 24; Chrismer Alma, 26; Anjo Rosales, 23; Ebrahim Salinda, alias Bong, 38; Efren Valerio, 25, and Peping Rafael, 45, are reportedly members of the Bituin gang and behind the proliferation of illegal drugs in Barangay Central, police said.

Four .45 caliber pistols, three .38 caliber revolvers, an undetermined amount of shabu, drug paraphernalia, several mobile phones and assorted magazines and ammunition were confiscated from them.

The seven suspects are being interrogated at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group office at Camp Crame.
