AirAsia Zest plane makes emergency landing at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines - An AirAsia Zest flight from Kuala Lumpur made an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at past midnight yesterday after developing cabin pressure problems. 

Flight EZD941, with 119 passengers and crew on board, landed safely at around 1:33 a.m., Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines spokesman Eric Apolonio said.

The plane, an Airbus A320, was cruising above Quezon province when the pilot, Capt. Melvin Alcorioto, requested the Manila control tower for clearance to make a descent over Lubang as a precautionary measure.
