MANILA, Philippines - Law enforcers confiscated at least 3.5 kilos of shabu in separate stings in Manila and Quezon City, police said yesterday.
Ryan Saripada, 21, was arrested when he allegedly tried to sell 1.5 kilos of shabu to two undercover police officers along Palanca street in San Miguel, Manila.
Saripada, a native of Mindanao, had been under surveillance for months prior to the bust. Police officers found two more kilos of shabu and bank transaction receipts in his car, according to the Manila Police District.
On Dec. 31, 2014, three persons were arrested in a sting in front of a gasoline station in Talipapa, Novaliches, according to Quezon City Police District director Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao.
At least 50 grams of shabu, two .38 caliber revolvers and marked money were confiscated from Pedro Galgana, 61; security guard Andres Capunas, 49; and Daisylyn Caandoy, 28, Pagdilao said.
