Welder killed over real meaning of Christmas

MANILA, Philippines - A 28-year-old welder in Sta. Ana, Manila was stabbed dead because of an argument over what Christmas really meant.

Jay-R Bautista was rushed to Sta. Ana Hospital but physicians declared him dead on arrival.

Police officers arrested his alleged attacker, Ryan Flores, 24, and confiscated a 10-inch knife he reportedly used to kill Bautista.

Investigators said Bautista and Flores were seated at separate tables and drinking with their friends when their groups had an argument over the real meaning of Christmas.

The misunderstanding turned into a heated argument and degenerated into a brawl. Investigators said the ruckus only ended after Bautista fell to the ground.
