Actress’ ex-husband pokes gun at cops

MANILA, Philippines - The former husband of Aiko Melendez was arrested for allegedly pointing his gun at  policemen in Pasay City at past midnight yesterday.

Model and chef Martin Jickain, 31, and his companion, Rommel Almoro, 27, figured in an argument with a group at a restaurant  at the corner of Sta. Monica and Roxas Boulevard.

Police officers responded and tried to intervene, but Jickain pointed his gun at them, investigators said.

The lawmen arrested Jickain and confiscated a pistol and two magazines from him.

According to reports, the two men – who were released later in the day – will face charges of direct assault, resisting arrest and violating Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
