Motorists told: Avoid Osmeña Highway today

MANILA, Philippines - Motorists should avoid Osmena Highway in Manila, between Francisco and San Andres streets, today as the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 project proponent Citra Central Expressway Corp. rotates the first three pierheads of the project.

The crane that will be used to rotate the pierheads will occupy from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. the two outer southbound lanes at the work site where the three pierheads are located. 

While three road lanes on the southbound and northbound directions will be open to all types of vehicles, motorists are advised to avoid this portion of Osmena Highway, Citra said.

Traffic enforcers of Skyway Stage 3 and the Metro Manila Development Authority would be deployed to ensure the safe and convenient passage of vehicles.

The 14.8-kilometer Skyway Stage 3 project, which will extend the elevated toll road from Buendia to Balintawak, aims to help decongest EDSA and other major arterial roads of Metro Manila.
