MANILA, Philippines - A bettor from Quezon City won the P16-million jackpot in the 6/49 Super Lotto’s Tuesday draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.
The lotto player hit the six-digit winning combination 21-43-11-03-29-47.
Earlier, PCSO assistant manager Conrado Zabella urged winners of state-run lotteries to share their prizes with those in need.
Zabella made the call after a 62-year-old retired government employee has claimed the P46-million jackpot in the 6/49 Super Lotto’s Oct. 30 draw.
“The PCSO will appreciate it if the winner can share some with the poor, especially those who are sick, through legitimate charitable institutions. It will be a nice Christmas gesture of sharing gifts to the needy,” he said.
The retiree, who lives in Sucat, Parañaque, used a “random pick” to hit the winning combination, 02-05-11-13-42-49, Zabella said.
The retiree, who is married with three children, has been placing lotto bets since 1996.
