MANILA, Philippines - The Southern Police District (SPD) has rounded up 213 suspects in its anti-crime drive.
SPD director Chief Superintendent Henry Rañola said the district launched 5,452 police operations from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.
Rañola said anti-narcotics operatives arrested 10 drug suspects in Makati City, nine in Las Piñas, six in Pasay, three in Taguig, and one each in Muntinlupa and Parañaque.
Police confiscated 3,914 grams of shabu and 90.86 grams of marijuana.
The SPD also recovered 38 stolen motorcycles and nine loose guns, Rañola said.
SPD operatives captured 42 wanted personalities in the southern part of Metro Manila.
Of the number, 17 were nabbed in Pasay, eight in Parañaque, seven in Muntinlupa, five in Makati, and one each in Taguig and Pateros.
Rañola added that the intensified police security patrols resulted in the arrest of 129 suspected criminals.
Police also arrested Wildeite Pagkalinawan, tagged as the seventh most wanted in Muntinlupa, and Stanley Provido, a member of a robbery group based in Pateros.
