MANILA, Philippines - Two alleged pushers were arrested and a kilo of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), with a street value of P5 million, during a sting in Taguig City before midnight on Friday.
Jucelie Ann Santos, 32, of Kaunlaran Village, Caloocan City; and Edgar Osma, 33, a native of Cebu and a resident of Pasig City were arrested by the Taguig police’s Special Anti-Illegal Drug unit, city police chief Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis said.
He said the suspects were apprehended shortly after Santos sold 100 grams of shabu to an undercover police officer and received P100,000 in marked money along C-5 Road in Barangay Pinagsama.
A search of the suspects’ 2014 Toyota Altis (with conduction sticker YC4704) yielded a plastic bag containing one kilo of suspected shabu.
Asis said criminal charges for the sale and possession of illegal drugs are being readied against Santos and Osma, who are being held at the Taguig police headquarters.
