Salesman killed by lover’s partner

MANILA, Philippines -  A 21-year-old salesman was killed while his lover was reported to be in critical condition when they were attacked by his lover’s partner in Sta. Cruz, Manila Wednesday night.

Jesper Puyat was declared dead on arrival at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center while Rosemarie Badiola is under observation at an undisclosed hospital. They were co-workers at the Fengreco Magic Photographer Corp.

Badiola’s partner, Ruel Maghuyop, 31, was arrested by responding barangay watchmen and turned over to the police.

Maghuyop said he earlier filed a complaint in their barangay against the two because they were allegedly having an affair.

He said he followed his partner and saw them holding hands while walking in front of a mall at the corner of CM Recto and Rizal Avenues. He said he lost control of himself and attacked them with his knife.

Maghuyop was charged with murder and frustrated murder.
