2 bodies found in Marikina
MANILA, Philippines - The bodies of two men, believed to be victims of summary execution, were found near the Marikina River in Marikina City yesterday.
The victims were shot in the head, their faces were covered with a piece of cloth and their hands were tied behind them with lengths of electric wire, police said. A spent shell from a handgun was recovered near the bodies.
A jogger found the bodies along Riverside street in Barangay Calumpang at around 6 a.m.
The first victim was clad in camouflage pants and a black shirt and sported tattoos bearing the words Sputnik and Amino as well as the image of a clown, Chief Inspector Glenn Aculana said.
The second victim wore white shorts and a black shirt, he said.
