Osmeña Highway section closed Friday night
MANILA, Philippines - Motorists should avoid Osmeña Highway, particularly the 200-meter stretch between Zobel Roxas and Fahrenheit streets, from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. the next day.
All three northbound lanes and four of the six southbound lanes along this section of the highway will be closed to traffic while the Manila-Makati boundary marker is being demolished to pave the way for the construction of the columns and pier heads of Skyway’s Stage 3, Citra Central Expressway Corp. said in a statement.
The firm undertook the construction of the 14.8-kilometer elevated tollway that would connect South Luzon and North Luzon Expressways from Gil Puyat street in Makati City to Balintawak in Quezon City.
Traffic advisories and signboards pointing to alternate routes will be set up today, the firm said.
Twenty columns have been constructed so far.
