2 snatched girls rescued in Manila
MANILA, Philippines - Two deaf girls who were reportedly kidnapped by their two mute friends in Sta. Maria, Bulacan were rescued by police in Manila Tuesday night.
The victims were rescued at around 7 p.m. in a house at 1884 President Quirino Avenue reportedly owned by a relative of Gabriel Silvester, 29, who was arrested along with Dondon Muñoz.
Police Officer 3 Rodel Benitez of the Manila Police District general assignment and investigation section said the operation was carried out in coordination with the Bulacan police after receiving information that the victims were taken to Manila.
Silvester and Muñoz are facing kidnapping charges before a Manila court.
