Woman gives birth at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines - A 26-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay Friday night.

Mary Ann Adjaen had just arrived from Dipolog City and was waiting for her husband to pick her up at the NAIA Terminal 3 when she complained of abdominal pains at past 6 p.m., nurse on duty Josefina Velasco said.

Adjaen was rushed to the clinic where she was attended by doctors Patria Pacquing and Josefina Tria.

She said she had not had a single visit to an OB-Gyne because she had no money.

Adjaen arrived from Dipolog City on a Cebu Pacific flight.

She told doctors her husband is a construction worker and this is her fifth child.
