3 siblings die in Caloocan fire

MANILA, Philippines - Three young siblings died after they were trapped in their burning house in Barangay Maypajo, Caloocan City yesterday morning.

Arson investigators recovered the bodies of Janine Hazel Flores, 9; John Russel, 6, and Joshua, 4, from the ruins.

Police said the Flores siblings failed to get out of the house when the fire broke out at 6:35 a.m.

Barangay officials said the victims’ father, who is a tricycle driver, was not around when the fire occurred.

Arson probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
